Merry Christmas: There is a new DVD Collection in town - The Ultimate Collection. Remastered, including all regular Episodes in German and English as well as the lost episodes (only in German) plus a few extras like a Star Sheriff patch.

"So everybody can recognize you as a nerd of the first hour." As if I don't already own the whole series in German, the lost episodes and the Japanese original on top of that! I'm not sure if you want to mock me...

The remastered pictures look awsome, though! Damn!!!

According to Anime House in autumn will be a digitally remastered DVD-box released. It will contain all 57 episodes of SRatSS which means the Lost Episodes are included.

A  rumour has it that the music and quiz extras of the first German DVDs has been exchanged for scenes from SJB. The box will also contain the English synchro, but unfortunately only for the 52 episodes of SRatSS, the Lost Episodes wont be in English >:(
The DVDs shall be available at the end of November, but they might be delayed.

Unfortunately, there is no detailed description at the homepage of Anime House, but I found it at Amazon.

Damn, why did I not see this in time? Such a pretty game console would have looked great in my collection!

Maybe one can buy it seperately, when the game comes out.

Now, I do regularly enter our favorite series' name at google, just to check, if there is something new. Guess how surprised I was to find not only one but TWO(!!!) recently published books about the Star Sheriffs!
But wait, where do they come from? Who besides some well informed fans would even dare to write a book about this series? Why didn't I hear about this any sooner? What is going on here!!!???

Let's start from the beginning:
I found the books at amazon.com. You'll also find them at amazon.de and probably in other countries as well.
http://www.amazon.com/Saber-Rider-Sheriffs-Lambert-Surhone/dp/6130955189/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1291210055&sr=1-1
http://www.amazon.de/Japanese-Childrens-Television-Sheriffs-Superbook/dp/1155671872/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books-intl-de&qid=1291207726&sr=1-1

First I checked the authors. Who are these guys? Why have I never noticed them?
Turns out, they seem to have published a lot of books about a vast amount of topics... Suspicious!

Then I researched the Publishers.
On Betascripts Homepage I found their philosophy:
"Nearly all media worldwide – such as newspapers, magazines, TV – use internet for their researches and as a basis for their texts. This is exactly what Betascript publishing does. And we go even further: with the Wikipedia-texts at free disposal we create books on interesting topics.
There is hardly another platform for quick and better processing of information than by Wikipedia – and this is too for the benefit of the Betascript publishing-readers who want to be informed on a specific subject. Of course you can have online everything free of charge, but for good reason you have decided for a book. Betascript publishing is internet in form of a book. There can hardly be a faster process."

LLC Books lists the following in their FAQs:
The book doesn't list an author. Who wrote it?
Content in books with no author usually comes from Wikipedia. We will say so in the book description we provide book sellers. If you already own the book please check the book's introduction and the end of each chapter for further details. For example, you can click the hyperlink at the end of any chapter and then click the history tab to see a list of each chapter's contributors. Otherwise, please click the Details link on the search results page for details.

So basically, this is a blatant rip off! If you want to know what's written in these book, just check out the Wikipedia articles.

Ok, it took a while, but here we go again. Episode 5 of the Lost Episodes.
If I missed any typos, did grammar mistakes or you come up with some real trashy jokes, write me. Any other comments, praise, marriage proposals etc. are also appreciated. ^^

Everything or nothing

Now, only one last episode to go.

Once again:
Disclaimer: I do not own any rights to this series (English, German or Japanese) and I mean no infringement of rights. This translation is purely for the benefit of fans who do not understand German but bought the German DVDs anyway. The text may gladly be used to produce an English Version (dub and/ or sub) of the episodes by the rightful holder of the copyrights to the English version of the series. (Credits would be appreciated, though.) I do not support illegal copying of any part of this series and I would like to strongly dicourage any and all of you out there to do so. Only if there is a suspected demand and profit, might any company go to the trouble of producing quality DVDs of the English Version or any other for that matter.

I stumbled over a few pictures today and thought, I'd share some of mine with you.
It's gotten rather cold so I hope this will make you feel a little warm and nostalgic.

In case you don't know today Bismark turned 26. You might love SRaTSS more than it but still without Bismark there wouldn't be SR so I think its birthday deserves to be celebrated.
So...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BISMARK!
